Located very close to downtown Minocqua, the Minocqua Country Club golf community offers a spectacular golf course, restaurant, and properties on the Minocqua Chain. Minocqua is also home to Timber Ridge, a popular golf community with nice homes and well-manicured lawns, beautiful golf course, common area outdoor pool, easy access to the Bearskin Trail, and close proximity to the grade school MHLT. Minocqua’s Wildwood Park is a popular zoo and safari enjoyed daily throughout the summer by local residents and visitors. Northwoods Zipline is a new attraction to the area offering a zip line canopy and aerial trekking tours, kayak river tours, and off-road argo atv tours. In addition to the shopping downtown, Minocqua also has some larger stores including Wal-Mart, Trig’s (grocery), Save-More Marketplace (grocery), Wild Berry Market (health foods), and Tractor Supply Co. For more larger stores, residents travel to nearby (30 min. SE) Rhinelander for Kohls, The Home Depot, Menards, and Dunham’s Sports. As the hub of our Northwoods, Minocqua is also Renee Rasmussen’s home town, along with the home of Redman Realty Group’s main office, where Renee and Chad are based. 

The town of Hazelhurst is known for being the quiet neighbor to Minocqua. With several private wooded properties, pristine clear lakes, easy access to the grade school MHLT, and the Bearskin Trail, this continues to be a highly-sought-after location for buyers. Some of the popular lakes in this town include Katherine, Upper Kaubashine, Yawkey, Lee, and South Blue. Vacationers often prefer this town due to the location being just south of Minocqua with just a short drive to Minocqua’s downtown.  

The quaint little town of Lake Tomahawk is perfect for anyone looking to get away from the busy-ness of Minocqua while enjoying the beauty and peace of the Northwoods. Lake Tomahawk is home to the grand Tomahawk Lake, part of the Minocqua Chain of Lakes, which is highly popular for boating, skiing, fishing, and taking your boat over to one of the restaurants on the chain, or even over to downtown Minocqua where you can dock your boat and head into town. The Tomahawk Lake shoreline hosts some of the most premier real estate in the area. Other popular lakes in this town include Big and Little Carr, North and South Two, Little Tomahawk, and Hasbrook. Lake Tomahawk’s downtown offers a convenience store, hardware store, bait shop, famous meat market, and several restaurants, with live music. 

A popular rental destination, St. Germain is home to Big and Little St. Germain lakes which make a great setting for rental cabins. If you are looking for an investment property, this is a great place to start. Due to various recreational opportunities, and the central location between Minocqua and Eagle River, many second-home owners prefer this location for a vacation property that can also be rented out while not in use. For these same reasons, it’s also a great location to live year round.
